As you look at these prices, keep in mind that depending on the time of the season and increased demand for private air travel during these times, many operators will charge more or less depending on demand.

A light jet typically seats 5-7 passengers and has a range of about 1,500 miles before refueling. Cruise speeds vary from 440 - 480 mph. The hourly cost ranges from $1,700 to $2,000 per hour. We'd suggest a light jet for shorter trips with no more than 6 passengers and minimal luggage.

A midsize jet typically seats 6-8 passengers and has a range of 2,600 miles. These jets typically cruise between 450 - 520 mph. The hourly cost ranges from $2,500 to $3,000 per hour. Because the cabin is larger than a light jet cabin and a little more comfortable for longer flights, we suggest mid-size jets like these for longer flight or for flights with more than 6 passengers.

The hourly cost for heavy jets ranges from $4,000 to $5,500 per hour, but can run higher for the longer range models such as the Global Express and Gulfstream V. We suggest these aircraft when there are more than 10 people traveling or if the trip is in excess of 3,000 miles. These airplanes are the pinnacle of luxury.
